About This Site
The aim of this website is to create a comprehensive catalogue of post-war programmes from games involving Wrexham FC. Programmes are listed by competition and then within season. The archive section contains over 2,000 pages from the contents of nearly 200 programmes.
Every effort has been made to ensure all information is correct. However the sheer volume of data that has been manually added will mean the occasional error will inevitably creep in. New programme issues also pop up unexpectedly that had previously been thought not to exist. All match details have been validated where possible, and I am indebted to Peter Jones and his book "Wrexham: A Complete Record" to fill in gaps from the earlier seasons. If you can help by providing scans and/or information regarding missing programmes then please do get in touch via email: [email protected] |
Acknowledgements
The information and images contained in this website have come from numerous sources and I am very grateful for the help given by so many people. The story of this website goes back to the 1984/85 season when David Roberts, Geraint Parry and Phil Jones took on the production of the official club programme and over the next 25 seasons produced issues that were some of the best in the whole of the Football League. I doubt I would have picked up the collecting bug if it wasn't for the quality of these issues.
After a break in collecting for a number of years I started taking an interest again in the late 1990s. I owe a big thank you to Bryan Still for his enthusiasm and help in filling huge gaps in my personal collection and for his ongoing support to find new images for this website. In addition to those mentioned above, I'd like to say a big thank you to following Wrexham fans and collectors who have kindly given their time to provide images and information for the site: Nigel Wynn, Peter Jones, Pete Martin, Paul Davies, Keith Byrne, Lyndon Lloyd, Geraint Parry, David Roberts, Sharron Walker, Tim Walker, Gareth Hill, Paul Harry and John Lloyd. Finally, I have also received help from supporters of other clubs who have contacted me directly via the website. My thanks go to: Gareth Owen (Bangor City), David Wood (Barnsley), Jonathan Parker (Blackpool), Andy Butler (Boston United), Ken Fox (Boston United), Garry Rhodes (Bradford City), Neil Hassall (Crewe Alexandra), Ron Parrott (Hereford United), Matt Davies (Macclesfield Town), Duncan Jardine (Newport County), Phil Redwin (Romford), Richard Stocken (Shrewsbury Town), David Topping (Shrewsbury Town & Wellington Town) and Hyder Jawad (South Liverpool).
